Provenance & Documentation
This archive consists of the complete set of 35mm negatives and contact sheets from my 2003 assignment photographing Elon Musk and the early days of SpaceX at their original facility in El Segundo, California.
Two images from this shoot were published in the November 28, 2003 issue of The Australian Financial Review Magazine (“Star Gazer” by Peter Huck, photographs by Susan Werner). All other images in this collection have remained unpublished.
Rights History: The magazine was granted standard one-time publication rights for the assigned feature. No additional rights were transferred. Full copyright ownership has always remained with me, the photographer, and was formally registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.
